Strong and perfect looking welds

Stick welding vs MIG welding
MIG welding vs Arc welding comparisons.
Which welding machine to buy, and where to buy from. This applies to, anywhere in the world.
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT buy a welding machine, until you have followed this welding classes course.
Having the correct equipment, will make it considerably easier for you. This is the perfect welding for beginners guide to becoming a proficient welder, in no time.
We DO NOT recomment using gasless MIG wire. You may just as well buy an Arc welding machine then.
MIG v Arc welding
MIG Welding: Advantages:
Faster welding rate. Continuous wire feed.
Easier to learn to weld.
Can be used as a spot welder. Suitable for car body panel welding of thin material.
Easier to weld thinner materials.
Easier to weld aluminium, compared to Arc welding.
MIG Welding: Disadvantages.
Needs separate Argon gas to work.
Not practical on a construction site.
Very difficult. Not practical in windy conditions.
Difficult to get into tight positions.
Time consuming changing welding wire.
Takes time to initially setup, but once set then easy to use.
More expensive to buy.
Bulkier, heavier machine plus gas bottle.
The welding machine above is rather interesting in that, it offers 4-in-1 facilities. MIG, TIG a/c, TIG d/c and Arc welding, all from 1 welding machine.
You can weld:
MIG mild steel welding, using argo shield gas.
MIG stainless steel welding, using pure argon gas.
MIG aluminium welding, using pure argon gas.
(This is covered in our MIG aluminum welding course, where we show how you can weld MIG aluminium, without the use of a spool gun)
TIG d/c, mild steel, brazing and stainless steel welding.
TIG a/c aluminum welding.
Plus Arc welding.
All with the same welding machine but, you would need 2 separate argon gas bottles.
Cheapest Welding Machine
This welding machine would be the cheapest welding machine option, if you wanted to use it's full potential. That's if you wanted to use all the welding facilities of MIG, TIG ac, TIG dc and Arc welding. To buy all the machines seperately would be a lot more expensive.
This is an amazing welding machine and classed as a mobile portable welding machine, which it is, but a little on the heavy side to lug around on a daily bassis.
Arc Welding: Advantages.
No shielding gas required.
Easy to use on construction site.
Works under all weather conditions.
Some welding rods can be bent for easy access.
Different types of welding rods can be used.
Cheaper welding machine.
Exceptionally light and compact.
Slag needs to be chipped off after every weld
Arc Welding: Disadvantages.
More difficult to master the art of welding.
Slag needs chipping away and cleaning plus
changing rods. Slower welding speed rate.
Difficult to weld thin materials.
Difficult to weld aluminium.
Not practical for spot welding thin material, although, we found a new arc welding technique using pulse arc welding, to get better control when welding thinner material.
This is shown and taught in another section. If your arc welding machine has the facility.
We specialise in mobile welding.
Therefore, all examples shown in our welding courses are for portable welding equipment.
Consult with your local welding supplier for advise, if you require welding equipment to setup a fabrication welding workshop.
All our welder training courses and welding techniques apply exactly the same for any size welding machines.
